THANK YOU

The garden tour on Saturday, June 18 was a sell-out.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to:  Our gardeners, our volunteers, our sponsors, our ticket buyers and to Duranders for your friendly welcome to the guests in our neighbourhood.  I have heard many compliments about the beauty of our neighbourhood and the friendliness of the people here.  Our volunteer committee, lead by our extraordinary Janice Brown, pulled together a fantastic, well-run event.  Volunteer committee members were:  Janice Brown, Linda Miocinovich. Barb Henderson, Ann Renee Andree, Roberta Harman and Silvia Edwards.  A small group with MIGHTY results!

We will post photos soon, so keep your eye on this space.  But for now…..

IT’S TIME TO VOTE!

Remember putting forward your submission for PlanLocal to create safer streets in Ward 2?  Voting time is now and the window of opportunity to have your say is here!  We have until June 30th to vote.  Why wait?  Vote TODAY  Here is the link which explains everything:  VOTE

Twenty-four (24) projects made the short list.  Vote for your top 10 priorities and help to spend $1 million in our ward.

We are always talking about making our streets safer — this is your chance to actually influence what happens on the streets in our neighbourhood and ward.

Oh and P.S. – Our splash pad is open along with our park!  But you probably already know from hearing the delighted squeals of children as they ran through the cool water this weekend.  What a wonderful sound!
