Graham Crawford’s newest media exhibition was posted in the Globe and Mail today   Please see the link below and if you have not made it down to HIStory & HERitage Museum to see this fabulous exhibit of magnificent homes and architecture of the Grand Durand Neighbourhood, put it on your list of “to do”.  The exhibit will run until December 14th.  Graham has posters of the individual homes and calendars for sale as well a soon to be released coffee table book ….a great gift  idea for special folks in your life…including yourself.

Beyond the stately doors of Durand

Graham Crawford’s HIStory & HERitage Museum will feature a new multimedia exhibition that celebrates the mansion district of the Durand Neighbourhood.

This features a 90 minute exhibition of 16 Durand Mansions.  The exhibit begins this Friday, September 14th during the James Street Art Crawl and  Super Crawl. The show  continues every Thursday, Friday & Saturday until December 14th.

Posters and Calendars will be on sale as well as a coffee-table book coming in late October.

Paul Wilson: Renos rolling on mansions billionaire left behind

 

For those Duranders who are interested in the history of our Grand Mansions in the Durand, Paul Wilson of the CBC has posted a great article on 2 outstanding buildings that are currently undergoing massive renovations. They are   located at Markland and James South and the other at Caroline and Jackson.  See what he has to say.

Billionaire Michael Lee-Chin once had offices in a pair of fine homes in downtown Hamilton. They have been lonely places since he left, but now restorations are underway.
