0 more sleeps until the party!

We hope you are planning to join the fun on June 24th at Durand Park.  There will be music, displays, horse-and-carriage rides, face painting, balloon animals, vendors, food trucks — it will be a day to remember as we celebrate 45 years of service to the community, our new park, and St. Mark’s.

The celebration will also be a big THANK YOU to our members for your support.  We could not do this without you, so please, come out and enjoy the day, meet your neighbours and enjoy the beginning of summer in the most beautiful neighbourhood in the city!

Updates and Dates to Remember

Our AGM was held on October 18 and the new slate for the board of the Durand Neighbourhood Association is as follows:

Dennis Baker, Roberta Harman, Barb Henderson, Wesley Jamieson, David Levy, Frances Murray, Paul Nichols, Christopher Redmond, Geoff Roche, Anne Tennier, Yonatan Rozenszjan

We’re looking forward to a busy and productive year!

Civic Plan has supplied the audit tool and a team of volunteer street auditors will fill in the data for 22 zones.  To learn more about the project, visit the website www.durandcharacter.com.  We need your input!  Fill out the  Survey to have your say about the features you feel are important on your street.  What do you love about your street, and which features do you dislike?  The more input Civic Plan receives, the more successful the outcomes for the Durand Neighbourhood!

Join us in Durand Park from 6 – 8 p.m. on October 29 for lots of fun and games.  Carve a pumpkin and bring it along to join the pumpkin parade!  Wear your costume and get into the spirit of the spooky season!
